Each year, centers are hosting Experience Patrolling days.  Joining the CSP can be a big commitment, so we strongly encourage you to attend one of our EP days and find out what we are all about. 

At Experience Patrolling days, you will be exposed to what a day in the life of a patroller is like, an accident scenario, some feedback on your skiing/snowboarding, the training provided, and the commitment requirements. It is also a great way to meet active patrollers! 

It is a one-on-one full day of patrol with an experienced patroller. They are arranged directly with the local patrol.

Training


If you cannot make that determined date, you can make arrangements with the local patrol to find a date that fits your schedule. span data-contrast=”auto”>The registration and the training starts generally in the autumn, depending of the zone. Each beginner receives a 60 hours first aid training, which includes Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This course is mandatory for all new members. The on-snow training, which includes toboggan handling, is done at each center. After completion with success the written and practical exams, you will become a certified member of the Canadian Ski Patrol.

To become a member of the CSP, you must be 18 years old and ski with ease.
