The Board of Directors of the Canadian Ski Patrol would like to welcome Bruce Robinson to the CSP family as our new President and CEO. Bruce is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Certified Management Accountant legacy designation (CPA, CMA) and has worked in sports, particularly snow sports, and the non-profit industry for over 20 years. He is the former CEO of Freestyle Canada, the national sports organization for the Olympic sport of freestyle skiing; has served on the finance, audit, and risk management committee for the Canadian Olympic Committee; and served on a variety of local, regional, and national non-profit boards of directors.

Bruce’s expertise in financial management, strategy, innovation, and governance will help move the CSP forward in new and exciting ways. He has relationships with many of the CSP partners including the Canadian Snow Sports Association and members within the Canadian Ski Council, Canada West Ski Areas Association and the Ontario Ski Resort Association. Bruce plans to work with our partners to promote safe skiing and snowboarding.

While working as CEO at Freestyle Canada, Bruce launched and managed a new brand, developed new digital marketing strategies, and led a team that raised significant sponsorship revenue from a range of corporate partners.

Bruce lives in the Vancouver lower mainland with his family and will be working from this location, traveling to meet with CSP members across the country and lead the national office staff and the national management team.

Bruce can be reached via email at bruce.robinson@skipatrol.ca and by mobile phone at (778) 237-3970. Bruce has indicated that he prefers to work later in the day, and would be happy to take calls after 9:00 AM Pacific time.

Please join the Board of Directors in welcoming Bruce to our family.
