By Mark Brown, Co-executive Director (mark.brown@skipatrol.ca)

The Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) is gearing up for some significant improvements to our Learning Management System (LMS). To bring these changes to life, we’re searching within our membership for a

LMS project manager (paid position)

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Training and Development portfolio leader, the co-executive directors, national portfolio leaders, and fellow CSP members. Your primary focus is to ensure that you meet project timelines and budget targets, and that the implementation runs smoothly. You’ll also play a key role in liaising with and managing vendors.

In the pursuit of developing a top-notch Learning Management System for the CSP, your daily tasks may include:

  • Formulating and defining project scope, milestones and objectives to address stakeholder technical requirements.
  • Compiling and analyzing existing courseware and organizational performance data.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to define communication, infrastructure, and implications of selected approaches.
  • Providing instruction on and performing, and documenting, quality assurance reviews.

We’re looking for someone with experience in project implementation, particularly with Moodle and Moodle Workspace. Experience developing learning processes, branching scenarios, gamification, and using AI tools would be a huge plus. The CSP is currently using Elai.io to modernize our learning materials.

You must also be familiar with the CSP and comfortable working with volunteer stakeholders. Being bilingual (English and French) would be a great asset.

If you’re interested and have the qualifications we’re looking for, please send your resume and compensation expectations to Eleanor Culver, national HR chair, at eleanor.culver@skipatrol.ca by May 13, 2024.

Term of engagement:  Approximately six (6) months

We are kicking the LMS project off on May 25, 2024. We can’t wait to have you on board!
