It boasts a massive catalogue of tuning merchandise, including files, vices, stands, stones, brushes, waxes, irons, bags, straps and all sorts of accessories to tune and repair skis and boards. (Some of its stands can also be used for bicycle repair.) Tools4Boards markets its products online at its website www.tools4boards.com, and through select retailers including Amazon and Mountain Equipment Company.

Members of the Canadian Ski Patrol are privileged to receive a 20 per cent discount on Tools4Boards purchases, using details available in the pro deals area of the CSP members’ website. These include some of the finest, most advanced tuning gear and waxes available anywhere. If you like to tune your own gear, Tools4Boards is for you!

Tools4Boards was founded in 1990 by company president Rick Weissenborn, to develop a ski vice he’d invented. Since then the former ski racer has patented 28 inventions aimed at improving ski and snowboard tuning gear. Along the way he’s worked with Swix Sport and Burton Snowboards, and Tools4Boards is the official competition supplier of Alpine Canada.

Rick’s latest wonder tool is the Rolling Pin edge sharpener. Traditionally, ski and snowboard edges are hand sharpened using a file guide. Rolling Pin is fundamentally different – unlike a file guide with a fixed stone it does not allow grooves to form in the stone surface, dulling the cutting edge. It provides the sharpest possible edge and is also incredibly easy to use. How easy? Blind athletes on the Canadian Para Alpine team have not been able to sharpen their own edges until now – using Rolling Pin.

So, if you are a tuning gear junkie, or simply enjoy having your skis or snowboard at their absolute best level of performance, Tools4Boads is for you.
