Winter may have wrapped up in Manitoba but sometimes one season rolls right into another. Starting with the winter – or what was supposed to be winter – most areas struggled with less-than-ideal snow conditions and milder temperatures. Despite that, there was good patrol coverage at all areas.

A long legacy for 365 events in Manitoba

Moving into spring and summer a number of off-snow events are requesting medical coverage by CSP patrollers.

Red River Zone: Duathlons, weekly mountain bike races, KidsFest and the Manitoba Marathon have kept patrollers busy. KidsFest has been running in Winnipeg for 42 years and CSP has proudly provided medical for 41 of those years. The Manitoba Marathon is a similar success story, with CSP being on bike patrol for 45 of 46 years. Impressive!

Lake of the Woods Zone: The Lowisa Regatta is coming in August. Our patrollers will only be stationed on land for this event.

Summer in the prairies means lake time, cottage country, music festivals and more. But it also means that Manitoba Division patrollers are still out there, keeping summer sports enthusiasts safe.
