Oh, the joys of removing a patient’s snowboard boots. We all have likely experienced removing a patient’s snowboard boots with the BOA lacing system.
You release the BOA closure, but those darn laces keep bouncing back as you try to expand the boot, pull back the boot tongue, and slide your patient’s foot out.
Here is a short video on a quick trick you can try the next time you need to remove a snowboard boot that has the BOA lacing system.
This trick will help make it easier to loosen someone’s snowboard boots. Less struggling assists not only patrollers but also increases the comfort of our patients.
Helpful hint – get your patient’s snowboard boots off a bit more easily
