Patrollers in Manitoba Division had lots of snow this winter, with record high snowfall amounts giving great ski conditions.

Along with that snow the bitter cold resulted in many “closed due to extreme cold” days at Manitoba ski hills. But, we’re a hardy bunch in the prairies and kept on patrolling.

With all of the snow and cold, some areas continued through into early April making it one of the longest seasons in a number of years.

We now have an official division awards program and information has been sent to all patrollers to solicit nominations for recognition. The awards committee is eagerly looking forward to reviewing nominations and recognizing those who are so deserving.
