By Brittany MacKinnon, Recruiting and Retention Coordinator (brittany.mackinnon@skipatrol.ca)
Retention of CSP members is a top priority, especially given the challenges faced during last season. Zones, patrols, and individual patrollers put incredible efforts into successful recruiting programs. This year, the focus is on retention and providing some tools and guidance for all patrollers to help make the CSP a positive, welcoming experience.
Our recruitment and retention team believes the retention effort should equal results and impact. Thank you to everyone who shared their best practices, which we have captured in the following resources to help with retention:
- Membership non-renewal matrix – to identify where efforts to retain members yield the best results.
- First year patroller timeline for retention touch point – shows the major retention efforts involved during the first year of CSP membership.
- Returning patroller timeline for retention touch points – shows the major retention efforts involved during the subsequent years of CSP membership.
Please reach out to national VP Patrol Operations Tom Carr (tom.carr@skipatrol.ca) or national Recruiting and Retention Coordinator Brittany MacKinnon (brittany.mackinnon@skipatrol.ca) to share your thoughts on how the CSP can continuously improve its retention efforts. Thank you to everyone who already provided their valuable input.
