Non-skiing event coordinator
The CSP continues to expand its services to cover the entire calendar year, on and off the snow. We are looking for a dedicated team player to join the Patrol Operations portfolio as the national CSP Non-Skiing Events Coordinator.
We are seeking a patroller with an interest in standardizing common aspects of non-skiing events, overseeing administration and helping to improve how we deliver our services across Canada, while recognizing the individual needs of different zones.
If you are interested in this important role, take a look at the job description. Please contact VP Patrol Operations at tom.carr@skipatrol.ca if you have any questions.
Applications and resumes are to be submitted to Tom Carr by June 30, 2020. Please note that candidates will be contacted for an interview during the selection process. Zone and division presidents may also be contacted for references.
Mental Health Advisor
To increase our critical incident stress management (CISM) programs and resources, we are adding a person with a mental health background to the national CISM portfolio to ensure the CSP considers patrollers’ mental health.
This person will work with the divisions and zones to utilize CISM team members skills normally accessed after a traumatic event throughout the year. They will be asked to guide the development of programs and education tools so that patrollers and CSP leaders can work with CISM teams to better understand the importance of mental health and identify some of the flags to look for. Our goal is to work to reduce the stresses of individuals by helping members and leaders better understand what to look for and how to help.
