Dear zone presidents and division presidents,

CSP members may be asked to volunteer at health care facilities by friends, colleagues, or your community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The types of volunteer services will vary by location and will be dependent on the local needs. Volunteering is a great way to support your community during this period.

Members are advised that volunteering is a personal decision and not mandated by the Canadian Ski Patrol. If a member decides to volunteer at a health care or similar facility involved in the COVID-19 response, the member is volunteering as an individual, not as a member of the CSP.

Members may not wear official CSP uniform clothing that is worn on duty but are free to wear other branded CSP clothing provided the facility allows you to wear personal clothing.

We advise every member to understand the risks involved in being exposed to potential carriers or patients with COVID-19. Your health and safety, and the health and safety of those around you, is important.

Please contact either Tom Carr, VP Patrol Operations (tom.carr@skipatrol.ca) or Zoe Robinson, President and CEO (zoe.robinson@skipatrol.ca) if you have questions.

Take care,

Zoe Robinson

President and CEO
