About Us
The Canadian Ski Patrol is Canada’s leader in certifying ski patrollers and advanced first aid personnel for our on-snow resort partners. Since the 1940s, this organization has continued to fill a critical need for first responders on the ski slopes.
Today, the Canadian Ski Patrol delivers a cross-section of national programs which provide vital skills, certified education and training in outdoor emergency care. Many lives are saved each year thanks to the competence of CSP patrollers.
The CSP-Mountain Division is made up of more than 30 alpine and Nordic ski areas in 11 zones across all of Alberta and the Yukon. Its more than 700 volunteer members not only provide emergency care at winter ski areas but also at summer events such as the Calgary Marathon, the Klondike International Trail of 98 Road Relay in the Yukon, the Taste of Edmonton, and the 5 Peaks Adventure Race Series in various Alberta locations.
Another important facet of the CSP-Mountain Division is its strong commitment to public education. With programs such as Safety Now, Snowsmart and Avalanche Awareness, our highly-trained members take the snow safety message to school children every year throughout Alberta and the Yukon.
