Payment of the $175 annual membership fee is required to confirm registration
Agenda
Day 1 (Feb 25) 8:30 AM
- Meet with your ski/snowboard equipment and ready to be outdoors forthe day.
- You will be provided with a training bib, which will act as your lift pass for the weekend.
Training Topics
- Warm up runs
- Lift line etiquette for patrollers
- Short radius turns
- Long radius turns
- Orientation of rescue toboggan: parts, loading/unloading, safe operation
- Practice with unloaded tobogganLunch will vary depending on weather, crowds, size of the group End of day debrief
Day 2 (Feb 26)8:45 AM
- Meet with your ski/snowboard equipment and ready to be outdoors forthe morning.
- Overview of accident scene management (indoors)
Training Topics
- Warm up run
- Demonstration of loaded toboggan (with a patient)
- On-hill accident scene management Lift line etiquette for patrollers
- Practice with loaded tobogganLunch will vary depending on weather, crowds, size of the groupEnd of Day assist loading the toboggans into the trailer, return bibs, and debrief
What to Bring
- Outdoor clothing (jacket, pants, gloves, buff, etc..)
- Helmet (mandatory)
- Skis/snowboard, boots, poles
- Lunch (the cafeteria will be open, but gets very busy on weekends)
- Water
