Experience Patrolling

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to spend a day with a ski patroller? You can experience a real, live patrol day with the Canadian Ski Patrol at Lake Louise, Nakiska, or Panorama! This is a fun and unique opportunity, perfect to help you decide if the Canadian Ski Patrol is right for you.

Our Experience Patrol Days will be occurring on:

• Lake Louise: January 19, 2025
• Nakiska: February 1, 2025
• Panorama: February 8, 2025

What does the day look like?

• Meet at ~8:45am at the base of the hill of the Experience Patrol Day (exact location will be provided for those who sign up).
  • There will be a quick meeting in the morning to review the plan for the day and provide an overview of the patrol.
  • The CSP Calgary Zone will generously provide a lift ticket for all attendees at the respective hills for the day.
  • You will be responsible for your own lunch (we will take a lunch break mid-day).
• Do some skiing with a few CSP patrollers! We’ll focus on:
  • How does the hill patrol operate?
  • First aid scenario
  • Patrol equipment
  • Answering any/all questions you may have about the specific hill or the CSP!
  • Is joining the volunteer ski patrol / the CSP a fit for you?
• The day will finish up around 3-3:30.
• Please note that only Nakiska is accepting snowboarders at this time.

Since we are holding a spot for you on this day, please only sign up if you are confident that you can attend! We know life happens, so if something comes up, you are still able to cancel, but someone else might not get to attend.
