To volunteer as a patroller, remember to sign up on the Calgary Marathon website and on the CSP Calgary Zone roster. You must sign up on both sites! There will be additional swag for attendees who can attend the entire weekend’s events.
The Servus Calgary Marathon is Canada’s longest-running marathon. The course is certified by Athletics Alberta and Athletics Canada and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. For more information on qualifying for Boston, check out the BAA’s website here.
Calgary is also a qualifier for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings. Age groupers running Calgary can earn points towards the next round of World Championships. The AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings comprise over 350 qualifying races (including Calgary!) in which athletes in nine separate age groups can compete in marathons across the world to earn a global ranking.
