There is a leadership team that drives the activities and operations across the Calgary Zone. This team, the Executive Committee, is composed of 8 Executive Members and the Patrol Leaders for each resort/area.
The Executive positions are elected to a 2-year term. They include the Zone President, Vice-President (VP) Administration, VP Education, VP Finance, and four VP-at-Large positions with roles that are adjusted to fit the needs of the Zone. Currently, the VP-at-Large portfolios include Member Services, Recruitment, Operations, and Communications. Half of the Executive positions are elected each year at the AGM to provide consistency across the leadership team from year to year.
In 2024, the terms for the following positions are concluding and will be up for election at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June:
- Zone President
- Vice-President, Administration
- Vice-President at Large, Member Services
- Vice-President at Large, Recruitment
In addition to these positions, the VP Finance position will become vacant as the incumbent is stepping down.
We are calling on the Calgary Zone Membership to consider putting your name forward to stand for election to fill these upcoming vacancies. This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership position, gain exposure to the Canadian Ski Patrol, and influence the strategic direction of the organization.
